" I stayed here last year for the Beale Street Music Festival. It was great for the price, in a fairly safe and quirky neighborhood with places to eat and a nice coffee shop just across the street. You can even rent bikes from them while you're there. I've been to a few hostels across the US and this was definitely above average in customer service. "

" The neighborhood was very nice with several restaurants nearby. Unfortunately for us it was extremely hot when we went, over 100 degrees all day, so we didn't get a chance to really walk around the area. There seemed to be alot to do within walking distance (on a cooler day) or a short bike ride. The area seemed to be very bike friendly. There is a nice BBQ place, Central BBQ, just up the road. There is also a nice little Irish Pub a block away. "

" First off, I have never stayed in a hostel. I would have preferred a hotel downtown, but all were booked the weekend I stayed. This place was GREAT! perfect location, about the midtown area. I stayed in a private room, but seeing the dorms they didn't seem too bad as long as there are no loud people. The location was in a nice safe area walkable to decent bars and restaurants. The RA's were friendly and knowledgeable. It was not awkward getting back into the hostel late at night, and it seems many were up talking and hanging out in the common areas. This place has character; I would stay here again. "

" They are awesome people with happy personality. Understanding enough to let me come in late. Very nice place with plenty of bathrooms and lockers and sweet kitchen! Totally recommend this place. "

" Best hostel I stayed in the States so far. Mostly friendly staff (lots of them, living there) very relaxed atmosphere, spacious and good quality dorms, nice bathrooms and reading room, thoughtful interior, clean, very reasonable rate, good location (nice restaurants and bars just across the street, forget about horrible Downtown), bike rental, breakfast. Keep up the good work! "

" Just returned home from spending 6 great days in Memphis, at the Pilgrim House Hostel. This was my first experience at a Hostel, and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were so kind and helpful, getting me up to speed with everything, and helping me with anything I needed. The facility was always safe and each public and private room were well kept, and made me feel like I was home and amongst family. The neighborhood surrounding is amazing, and gave me an almost bohemian vibe, with people from many backgrounds and walks of life, always made me feel welcome and at home. By far one of the best experience I've had in many years, and I hope to visit back here again in the future. All the best. "
